Call for potential development sites in Cotswold District

The Council is carrying out a ’Call for potential development sites’ which includes residential (including gypsy and travelling show people), employment, leisure, retail, commercial, community and/or other uses.

This is taking place over a three week period with the deadline for submissions being Friday 19th August 2016.

The Call for Sites will inform the next review of the Council’s Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) (a requirement in accordance with Government guidance) and other evidence documents. The SHELAA provides a broad-brush assessment of the development potential of sites across the District. Whilst this is separate from the Local Plan site allocation process, it will inform future reviews of the Local Plan and other evidence base documents following the Local Plan’s adoption.

The Council is inviting residents, landowners, agents, local community groups and other members of the community to put forward any potential sites or buildings in Cotswold District that they believe have the potential to meet future development needs of the Local Plan.
