The search is on for Most Social Shopper in Gloucestershire

This Christmas, Maybe*, the digital platform available on the app store and online, is working with local blogger CheltenhamMaman to find Gloucestershire’s most social shopper and gift them with £500 high street vouchers.

The aim of the campaign is to encourage shoppers and retailers to engage with one another via social media with a view to help marry the online and offline shopping experience.

The shopper that uses the #WDYT and engage with retailers via social media and on the Maybe* platform the most will be crowned Gloucestershire’s Most Social Shopper and win £500 of shopping vouchers.

Maybe* work alongside GFirst LEP, a Gloucestershire local enterprise partnership with Gloucester City Council, Cheltenham Borough Council, Stroud District Council and the government on a pilot project called The Great Gloucestershire High Street. Maybe* is delivering a social media campaign as part of the pilot called ’What do you think?’  (#WDYT) which actively encourages retailers and shoppers towards a dialogue through social media.

Polly Barnfield OBE, Founder of Maybe* comments: “This is an exciting opportunity for the shoppers of Gloucestershire giving them a great chance to win some extra Christmas shopping money and essentially help them towards getting their Christmas wish list paid for. Also, a great opportunity for the retailers of Gloucestershire, encouraging them to engage with customers they didn’t know were there during such a peak time of the year.”

Maybe* are delivering the campaign alongside local blogger, Kate Starkey who runs CheltenhamMaman. Throughout the Christmas period Kate will be sharing her Christmas shopping journey on her blog and social channels encouraging others to engage and share their Christmas ideas.

Kate aka CheltenhamMaman said: “I’m so pleased to be working with Maybe* on this Christmas campaign. To be able to offer one lucky shopper the opportunity to win £500 of high street vouchers towards their Christmas shopping is absolutely fantastic. Shopping is evolving every day and getting opinions from others is such a big part of it now. I hope that by me sharing the ups and downs of my shopping experiences will encourage others to do the same and be up for the chance to win that incredible £500 of high street vouchers.”

Dr Diane Savory, OBE DL, Chair of GFirst LEP concludes : “Gloucestershire’s Most Social Shopper will be announced on the 18th December which gives everyone plenty of time to start entering. So let the fun begin!”
