3m investment from GFirst LEP for new transport hub in Gloucester
As part of a multi-million pound investment scheme to regenerate the King’s Quarter area of Gloucester into a new shopping and leisure development, GFirst LEP have confirmed that a conditional offer of £3m will be awarded from the Gloucestershire Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) to Stanhope Developers, backed by Gloucester City Council to build a new transport hub.

As part of a multi-million pound investment scheme to regenerate the King’s Quarter area of Gloucester into a new shopping and leisure development, GFirst LEP have confirmed that a conditional offer of £3m will be awarded from the Gloucestershire Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) to Stanhope Developers, backed by Gloucester City Council to build a new transport hub.
Dr Diane Savory OBE DL, Chair, GFirst LEP said:
“I’m delighted that we have been able to make this conditional offer to Stanhope as this project is of strategic importance and significance to help boost communities and businesses across Gloucestershire. Building a new transport hub is a significant catalyst for the continued regeneration of Gloucester and meets with LEP and local objectives for economic growth. This award is a testament to the importance that we work closely with partners to contribute to on-going regeneration efforts across the county.”
