Met with enthusiasm by nearly 40 businesses from across the Forest of Dean, delegates were kept up to date with Minister of State for Immigration, Mark Harper explaining the implications of the recent Autumn Statement. Encouraged to think about their own businesses, delegates were asked to evaluate their unique offerings with the aim to identify innovative opportunities to flourish.

The Forest Means Business events are held bi-monthly at Vantage Point, Mitcheldean and are supported by GFirst LEP.  Organised by Stuart Barnes, who has his own consultancy company, Stuart is an active Ambassador of GFirst LEP and is passionate about stimulating economic growth in the Forest of Dean.

Stuart Barnes, Managing Director, SB Consultancy Ltd, said: “The Forest Means Business events have been running for 4 years and have been hugely successful in supporting existing businesses in the area to obtain vital knowledge, advice and inspiration for business growth.

I am delighted Andrew’s advice was inspirational to our audience and I’m looking forward to arranging the next speaker in February. These events are free to attend, and I would urge any local business that wishes to attend to get in touch.”

All businesses in the Forest of Dean and local area are welcome to attend the next Forest Means Business event on Friday 14th February at Vantage Point, Mitcheldean, from 7.45am until 9.30am.
