The role of this Board member will be to;

- Identify areas in which the LEP can improve its efforts to be more inclusive.
The role will include;
- Reviewing the current policy statement.
- Presenting an annual report on the progress of the LEP in encouraging diversity and how improvements can be made.
GFirst LEP is committed to ensure that by 2020 at least one third of members of LEP boards are women with an expectation for equal representation by 2023.
- Risk Management Champion
GFirst LEP recognises the need for effective risk management systems and procedures to ensure the early identification, assessment and mitigation of risks that may emerge during implementation of major capital projects.
The Risk Management Champion will:-
- Ensure that Risk management is given due attention by the Board as it conducts its business, including, but not limited to, propriety and value for money issues
- Ensure that the two risk registers for GFirst LEP (operations and programme management) are reviewed regularly, in conjunction with the staff members in GFirst LEP who have specific responsibility for Risk Management, and that appropriate mitigations are up to date, appropriate and implemented.
- Highlight any concerns to the Board in a timely manner.
We want GFirst LEP to continue to be successful and we’re looking for board members who have the drive, passion and commitment to help our partners and our great executive team make that happen. Gloucestershire’s Local Enterprise Partnership is led by the business community in partnership with voluntary, education and public sectors to help Gloucestershire realise its economic potential.
Government are committed to enhancing the roles of LEPs and you would be joining the board at an extremely exciting time as we work with our partners to implement our Local Industrial Strategy and develop proposals for a great future for the county.
We are committed to ensuring that our board represents the diversity of Gloucestershire and we welcome applications from anyone aged 18 and above who can broaden our diversity either through experience, sectoral expertise or their background.
