Have your say on the Forest of Dean District Councils budget plans
The District Council is currently updating its spending plans for services to be provided in 2016/17 and future years and will need to save £2.039 million over the next four years, so it is inviting local residents to have their say by completing a survey.
18 December 2015
The Council has prepared a four year financial strategy which takes into account financial risks and other changes which will have an impact on future services. Full details are contained within the Cabinet meeting report of 10 December 2015, available on the Council’s website www.fdean.gov.uk.
The Council welcomes feedback from residents and local businesses, which will then be considered by Cabinet on Thursday, 11 February 2016 and Full Council on Thursday, 25 February 2016.
Cllr Patrick Molyneux, Leader of the District Council said: “The District Council recognises that there are tough times ahead financially and for that reason it is important to seek the views of local residents on how they value our services and the importance they attach to them. This information will help us shape our budget for the next four years.”
Residents or local businesses who wish to comment on the budget strategy can complete the survey on the Council’s website www.fdean.gov.uk/go/budgetconsultation
Alternatively, to request a paper copy of the survey, contact the Customer Services Team on 01594 810000.
The closing date for the consultation is Monday 18 January 2016.
