A dynamic, innovative and creative tourism specialist is needed to help shape the development of a new destination management organisation for the Cotswolds.
This 12 month post will support a public/private partnership including local businesses and attractions, local authorities and the Cotswold Conservation Board in promoting the Cotswolds through a range of media, and will contribute to the transformation of the partnership into a formally structured organisation.
Candidates will need to have at least five years’ experience from within tourism, with particular experience in PR and marketing, particularly web-sites and social media.
Candidates will need excellent interpersonal skills that will enable them to bring together a partnership of organisations with a wide range of aspirations and interests, to work towards a common goal.
The post will be managed on a day to day basis by Cotswold District Council, but will support a management board with representatives from local authorities, organisations, attractions and businesses from across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. The post is funded by the local authorities of Stroud, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cotswold and West Oxfordshire, as well as the Cotswold Conservation Board.
