New investment for Creative Employment Opportunities in Gloucestershire
Following on from the success of the current Creative Careers work, Create Gloucestershire is pleased to announce that it has secured investment of just under £55,000 to create 23 more new employment opportunities in the cultural sector for 18-24 year olds.

These will open up new entry routes into Britain’s fastest growing industry at a time when many young people are struggling to get a foothold in the world of work.
For many young people facing socio-economic or disabling barriers: pathways into the creative industries can be especially invisible. Additional support from the Summerfield Trust, will allow Create Gloucesterhire to develop strategic relationships with specific youth organisations who work with the most disadvantaged young people across the county including those facing rural poverty/exclusion, provide bursaries for micro businesses taking on young people and establish new partnerships to deliver careers events and training with various colleges and schools across the county. This will help to ensure young people in the greatest need hear about these opportunities.
