Working with our partners across the county to explore, prepare for and deliver new infrastructure and an improved climate for investment, we are focused on a single mission. This mission is to accelerate economic growth by focusing on key drivers of productivity. This strategy is one that is central to us. At the same time as producing Gloucestershire's Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) we will be developing an Investment Plan to demonstrate how we could use capital investment to deliver on our strategy.
The investment required comes in all forms to deliver against a broad range of priorities including:
Innovation – to ensure new ideas can be brought forward
Skills and employment – delivering inclusive opportunities for our residents and businesses
Business environment – to make sure our business community thrives
Infrastructure, including energy and digital connectivity – crucial to the future of our business and resident population
Housing – across a range of tenures and locations
Regeneration and place shaping – to make sure that Gloucestershire is a great place to live, work and visit
The Gloucestershire Economic Growth Capital Investment Pipeline (CIP) ) is shared across GFirst LEP, Gloucestershire County Council and the 6 District Councils in Gloucestershire, to maintain a viable pipeline of capital projects that have the potential to support significant economic growth, and are seeking public funding, where ever it may come from. This will form the backbone of our Investment plan.
This interactive map sets out Gloucestershire’s current priorities in broad ‘infrastructure’ terms. It allows you to look at the existing and proposed investment in the county and understand the type of projects and investments that are planned/need to be delivered and/or are underway.
It is reviewed, refreshed and updated on a regular basis, to take account of emerging economic investment, strategic infrastructure requirements, resource needs and potential funding opportunities. The CIP is a live map which is actively managed in order to provide the most up to date information on the investment pipeline.
We are open for new ideas for capital projects that could be added to the pipeline, to be ready for funding opportunities in the future. If you think you have a project that could transform the economy of Gloucestershire, submit an expression of interest using the Expression of Interest template.
